Sculptural Thinking - Contemporary Works from the Sammlung Moderne Kunst

Spread over nine rooms, works by twelve international artists, including Steven Claydon, Mark Manders, Henrik Olesen and Heimo Zobernig, illustrate the broad spectrum of plastic thinking ¿ from the simple wall relief all the way up to the complex room installation. The works variously simulate or alienate their own history, experiment with different finds of display forms, combine found objects with the newly created, all the while providing an insight into a distinctive group of works among our new acquisitions, which has evolved in the ten years since the Pinakothek der Moderne was founded.
