Särestöniemi Museum

in detail

The museum hosts a collection of nearly 500 works of art by Särestöniemi. The majority of these are oils on canvas or watercolours, as well as woodcuts and etchings. There are also drawings, sketches and sketch books in the collection. Works on display are chosen according to varying themes, and changed once or twice a year.

The Särestöniemi Museum is maintained by the Reidar Särestöniemi Museum Foundation. The majority of the museum collection was donated by Anton Särestöniemi (1921-1997), Reidar Särestöniemi's brother.
