in detail
Coffee, Saxony’s favourite drink, has been served there since 1711. The extraordinary sculpture on the house front is the origin of the name ‘Zum Arabischen Coffe Baum’, meaning ‘Arab Coffee Tree’.
The seats of famous regulars, such as Robert Schumann, can still be seen in the historic bar on the ground floor. The restaurant on the first floor features reminders of famous people who have visited.
The second floor is home to the Café Français and the Vienna Café. The Arab Coffee Shop puts visitors in the right mood for a visit to the museum.
