In 1970, KBC bought the house of Antwerp mayor and friend of Rubens Nicholas Rockox (1560-1640) and subsequently had it restored in Flemish-Renaissance style.

The Rockox house, whose ground floor is used as a museum, is a fine example of 17th-century Flemish living culture. The exquisite collection includes furniture, paintings (Rubens, Jordaens, Van Dyck, Pieter II Brueghel ...), sculptures, porcelain and pottery... These are items from Rockox’s 'time' that restore ‘his' house to its original glory.
The new audiovisual presentation takes a refreshing look at the period in which he lived.

The Rockox House is open every day, except Monday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It is closed on 1 and 2 January, on Ascension Day, on 1 and 2 November and on 25 and 26 December.
It is open on Easter Monday and Whit Monday.
