The deux-chevaux – or more disrespectfully, the ugly duckling - and the car and engine of the King, the 'beetle' and the Belgian Minerva, the little car of pioneer Léon Bollée from 1896 and the Ford T, which was assembled in series ... Here is a colourful ensemble of more than 400 vehicles that tells the story of the "automobile" and the engine, from 1886 until around 1960. This is one of the largest and most complete automobile collections in Europe. The gleaming European and American models come from many countries. And surprisingly in this motor museum, there is also a nice collection of ... carriages on display.
The museum is located in the World Palace which dates from the early 20th century, with an imposing metal roof truss. Also a nice feat of engineering.
