in detail

Visitors can see the reconstruction of the postal office from the 19th century and they can compare it to the postal office from the 20th century. The object that links The Museum of Post and Telecommunications to Polhov Gradec is the postal horn. It was used by the Tomšič family, who was carrying out the postal service in Polhov Gradec. In the section where the postal logistic is shown, visitors can see different means of transport for postal items, from mail carriages from the 19th century to modern carts and motorcycles. For a bit of fun visitors can listen to original melodies played on the postal horn or they can watch movie clips from post related movies.
