Muzej Velenje

in detail

The exhibition is divided in three parts: ecclesiastic, aristocratic and peasant. In the first part the accent is on Romanic presbytery, three late Gothic statues, sacral vessels, the original frescoes from the Švarcenštajn castle and the reconstruction of the stone altar St. Jošt from Paški Kozjak. The second part of the exhibition displays a smokehouse, the living environment of peasants. Exhibited small objects - archeological finds discovered in the castles Šalek and Kacenštajn are extremely valuable.
