in detail
Particular importance is attached to the works from the 1920s and 1930s, the majority of which were acquired at Grassimesse exhibitions events (www.grassimesse.de). these now constitute a unique representation of the time from which they come and it is these with which our museum continues to be largely identified in the eyes of the public. A special exhibit of particular poignancy will be the replica exhibition stand built for the company "Vereinigte Lausitzer Glaswerke Weißwasser" for use at the Grassimesse exhibition in 1936 by Lilli Reich.
The multitude of exhibits from the second half of the twentieth century and up to the present day has made it necessary to devise a presentation oriented towards increased flexibility, due to the restrictions of space in the lower storey of the building. This results in the alternation between different themes in shorter intervals.
