in detail

Seven large steles stand for the seven most beautiful cities in the small empire of Trebizond on the Black Sea: mythical, majestic beings from a distant time. The designer Linde Burkhardt presents her project, 'The Dowry of the Princess of Trebizond', in collaboration with Die Neue Sammlung - The International Design Museum Munich. By combining ceramics with Murano glass, wood, marble and steel bindings, Burkhardt has created life-size, sometimes larger-than-life-size sculptural objects as free ceramic art.
