in detail

The Environmental Impact Assessment, in its Cultural Heritage aspect, carried out from the very beginning of the Alqueva project allowed to bring to daylight, over the years, numerous vestiges of the past preserved underground. Some previously identified, many others revealed during the land mobilizations, these testimonies have contributed - sometimes in a very important way - to our knowledge of what has been, since times very far back, the settlement of lands that are today the vast perimeter of the Alqueva Multi Purpose Enterprise.
